Jonathan Bennett deals in 18th-century and earlier Chinese porcelain, and also has a special interest in Chinese works of art, including jades, bronzes, bamboo and lacquer.

Jonathan is a Cambridge University graduate who started his career at Sotheby’s in New Bond Street. He has been an independent dealer for over three decades, trading from the Portobello Road for the first twenty-five years, and moving into Kensington Church Street in 2013.

Following the sudden death of his dear friend and colleague Martin Rodney in February 2019, Jonathan is continuing in business in the same shop. He is now sharing the premises with Sandra Dykes of Little River Asian Art. Sandra specialises in good early Chinese antiquities such as Tang horses, as well as Song ceramics, making a very welcome addition to the range and historical depth of the Chinese works on offer.
