This 18th-century bronze shows the great Tibetan lama Tsong Khapa sitting cross-legged on a lotus plinth, wearing the ‘Yellow Hat’ of the religious order he founded. He has a beautiful calm, smiling face and his hands are shown in the ‘teaching’ gesture.
