AN IMPORTANT PAIR OF GEORGE II WALNUT SIDE CHAIRS
These particularly fine chairs are executed in very well carved and finely figured burr walnut of exceptional colour and patina. The splats with foliate scrolls surmounted by a shell cresting, above shaped seats and a shaped frieze, now upholstered in gold silk damask. They stand on wonderfully drawn cabriole legs carved with acanthus leaves and terminating in ball and claw feet.
