A Very Fine Imperial Satsuma Japanese Vase of the Meiji Period

The bulbous form vase, now converted to a lamp, depicts the Ten Arhats, the enlightened disciples of the Buddha, with two young acolytes, delicately and expressively painted in polychromes.
