Description
An attractive lacquer tea caddy with hinged lid, made for the European export market and well-decorated in gilt on a black ground with figures taking tea in a garden. The box stands on four dragon feet. It contains a pair of pewter caddies and covers, probably one for green and one for black tea. (The Kangxi blue ad white teacups and saucers are available separately.)
