Description
A matched set of eight single and two arm late 18th Century Hepplewhite period mahogany dining chairs, having shield shaped backs with pierced slats, and wheat ear carving, above drop in seats supported on tapering legs.
The Armchairs with boxwood fan oval panels to the backs.
Some Side chairs stamped with Coronet and 'C'

Attributed to Catton Hall, Derbyshire where Sir Robert John Wilmot-Horton 3rd Baronet resided.
It is logical to assume that the stamps on these Chairs relate to inventory marks taken for Catton Hall.
